Metamorphoses
Fluidity, change, variations, flow; transitions, surge, movement, flux. One thing becomes another; movement, images and sound transform, expand and blend to create new worlds. Students learn new skills and experience new ideas; practitioners encourage growth and expand horizons.
Welcome to the 2009 ACAMIS Fine Arts Festival, hosted by Dulwich College Beijing. For the first time this year the festival is open to students and schools from each of the ACAMIS regions, making it a wider-ranging and more comprehensive festival than ever before. Participating students will get the opportunity to work and collaborate with like-minded students from many diverse backgrounds and cultures.
The theme of the festival is Metamorphoses. It is a common cliché that China is experiencing a process of constant change and transformation; High School students too are often caught up in a seemingly unceasing period of transition. Through their experiences in Drama, Art and Music students attending the festival will experience their own metamorphoses as they learn from both other students and from the experienced practitioners on offer.
Places are limited for this festival and demand is likely to be high. Please therefore register your school’s interest as soon as possible in order to prevent disappointment.
